Hi There, Welcome to Magic City Mom. I started this site in hopes of helping fellow moms in the Birmingham area.  Trying to decide on where to eat, where to take the kids, etc can be a daunting task, so we are here to give you the low down on the latest happenings.

As a mom of two very energetic children, Trista’s life is never dull. When she’s not taking care of the little ones (ages 6 1/2 and 4 1/2), being a wife to her husband of 8 years, running the website, and playing taxi driver to the two little ones…..she enjoys reading, date nights with her husband, photography, blogging, playing onFacebook, and Twittering.

I decided to team up with Trista because I talk all the time and when no one is around to listen, I still talk, so why not write it down. For most who know me, I don’t know a stranger and I love to share tips, stories, and network with folks.

Before becoming a stay at home, homeschooling, Sunday school teaching,dog chasing, boo-boo kissing Mom, I have been a Medical Assistant, Prison Medical Admin Coordinator, Human Resource Manager, Fundraising Coordinator, Non-profit Director and Marriage Family Counselor/Consultant. And yet, all of these jobs did some good in preparing me for my favorite (and the oldest) profession known in the book-MOTHERHOOD!!! I hold a Bachelors of Science in Business Adminstration and Strategic Planning from my beloved Birmingham Southern College and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Montevallo.

I have been married for 10 years to my best friend and complete opposite personality of me-Chris. We have two daughters, Sydney and Sophie. We are owned by three dogs, Phoebe, Bella, and of course, the diva of our house, Abbie-The Basket Hound. Check out her blog by the clicking the link provided here. She is quite sassy.
