Jen Cowsar Photography specializes in custom photography sessions in the Shelby and Jefferson County area. We offer natural light photography with outdoor sessions on location at Aldridge Botanical Gardens, Downtown Birmingham, your local park or even your own backyard. We can also set up in your home using natural window light, your furniture and your home as a backdrop. For small babies, we travel to your home and will photograph your little one in the comfort of his or her own home.

Catering to newborns and small children up to pre-teens, teenagers and high school seniors, Jen Cowsar loves to capture the whole family as well. Gathering memories and recording them to last a lifetime – that is our goal!

Sessions are very comfortable and relaxed. Sessions typically last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. If we are shooting in your home, we’ll take some time to walk around and get a sense of where the light is best (or we might talk about this before session day). We’ll take some time to get to know your children so they feel comfortable and are having fun. I have a number of fun props, bows, tutus and hats but I am always excited to incorporate your own special items into your pictures. Capturing the unique personality of everyone is paramount for us.

Session fee~

$50.00 for up to four people. If more than four people are photographed, an additional $10 per person will be added to the $50

initial fee. The session fee includes:

* up to 1 1/2 hours of my time and talent at a natural light location of your choice, such as Botanical Gardens, Aldridge Gardens, a park, or your yard; please feel free to suggest another location if you have one in mind

* one clothing change; additional $5 per change after one clothing change

* custom processing and an online gallery to view your images

* session fee is due at the time of the session

Newborn session fee~ $60.00 (for up to four people; additional $10 per person for more than four)~recommended age 1 to 3 weeks old

*up to 2 1/2 hours of my time and talent at the location of your choice, typically your home for the comfort of the baby – plenty of time for feeding and soothing

*up to two clothing changes

*props and backdrops will be provided

*custom processing and an online gallery to view your images

There is a $75 purchase minimum. Prints can be ordered in color, black & white, or sepiaIndividual prints~ (All prints have a matte finishing.)

CDs~

With a $75 print purchase, you can purchase a CD of original digital images. Single images are perfect for birth announcements or holiday cards. Purchasing a complete CD of original images allows you the copyright to create gifts, such as calendars, cards, or other novelties.
