Every year, we open our hearts and wallets and donate toys and goodies for homeless children at Christmas. It is a very fulfilling accomplishment to know you have helped Santa make a child smile on the day they worry about being forgotten. But did you know that there is another day that children have expectations for that other yearly visitor…THE EASTER BUNNY!
This year, let’s join hands and hearts and make a difference on Easter Morning for the children of various shelters across the Birmingham Metro area.

If you are unable to attend this, simply make an Easter Basket (or two) for a child between the ages of newborn and teen. Suggested items are anything Easter, candies, everyday essentials (toothbrushes, hair brushes, character items, etc.), or anything you know a child would love to see on Easter Morning. Also, feel free to make a basket that is designed for a particular child (i.e. diabetic, nut allergy, etc.) as there are some children with special needs. Baskets can be delivered to the United Way of Central Alabama. As a special incentive, make sure you mention Birmingham Mom Online and your basket will be featured on Birmingham Mom Online.

The Mom’s Club of Birmingham-North (Trussville, Clay/Pinson, Moody/Leeds area) made 26 baskets today at our Easter party! We’ll deliver them tomorrow to the United Way.
Oh, that is WONDERFUL! I am so excited that 26 children will know the excitement of the Easter Bunny because of The Mom’s Club of Birmingham-North!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU for helping other moms in the area. Sending a virtual hug to you all.
