As many of you know, businesses in Birmingham are trying to work together to retire the mortgage of slain Pelham Police Officer Phillip Davis.
On Monday January 25, 2010 Oak Mountain Lanes will be hosting a benefit to help with this. As of now, all bowling proceeds from 3pm until 8pm will be donated to the fund to retire the mortgage on his house.
From 3pm to 9pm there will be open bowling with a $10 donation per person for one hour of bowling. From 3pm to 8pm Pelham Fire Dept. will be on site with a fire truck.
From 4pm t0 8pm Texas Roadhouse & US Food Service will be onsite selling dinner plates. They are asking people to come out and eat dinner at $5.00 per plate. McAlister’s Deli will be on site selling large tea for $2.00. Proceeds from each of these will be donated.
Home Depot may have a special set up outside which would be a lot of fun for adults and other special events. Also from 3pm to 8pm there will be an inflatable playhouse in parking lot donated by Alabama Rentals. $1.00 per child to enter. A Bowling Challenge at 7pm and a silent auction from 3pm to 8pm.
If you would like to donate items for the silent auction or are a business that would like to set up a booth and sell your items (only thing asked is a portion of the proceeds go to the fund), please contact Robert at robert@oakmountainlanes.com
